Back to School Bash — Raleigh

On behalf of the entire Southeast Raleigh Elementary School community, we want to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude for the way you have poured into our school for the past two years. You could have chosen to partner with any school in Wake County, but you chose Southeast Raleigh Elementary, and we count it as a true privilege and honor to have the Silas Demary Jr. Foundation in our corner. Your commitment to our students, families, and community has made an impact that extends far beyond the events and resources you have provided.

Because of your generosity and partnership, our students have been able to show up to school prepared, confident, and looking good while doing it! But even more importantly, you have given our students something that cannot be measured by a backpack or school supplies — you have given them representation, inspiration, and a role model they can see and be proud of.

Having someone from Raleigh who is representing our community at UConn and accomplishing so much is incredibly powerful for our students. It allows them to look at Silas and say, “Someone from my community did it, so I can do it too.”

That kind of representation matters, and we will never take for granted the example you are setting for our young people. The impact of your foundation is felt throughout our school community, and we are incredibly grateful for every backpack, every resource, every opportunity, every smile, and every moment you have invested in our students. More than anything, we appreciate that your partnership has demonstrated to our children that their community believes in them and is willing to show up for them.

There truly are not enough words to adequately thank you for all that the Silas Demary Jr. Foundation has done — not only for Southeast Raleigh Elementary, but for the greater Southeast Raleigh community.

We sincerely pray that this partnership continues for many years to come. We are excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing to work together to pour into, empower, and uplift our students.

Thank you for believing in Southeast Raleigh Elementary. Thank you for believing in our students. And thank you for continuing to remind them that they are seen, valued, supported, and capable of achieving great things.
